AvtoVAZ restarts production of Niva cars with ABS, Euro-5 engines

MOSCOW, Dec 1 (PRIME) -- Russia’s largest carmaker AvtoVAZ has restarted production of the Lada Niva Legend and Lada Niva Travel with the ABS systems and the Euro-5 environmental class engines, the company said in a statement on Friday.

The calibration and engine control units for the Euro-5 class were designed in Russia and tested under all possible weather and driving conditions, the company said.

The minimum recommended retail prices for the cars are 927,500 rubles for the Lada Niva Legend model and to 1.213 million rubles for the Lada Niva Travel ones.
